Album Review

I originally purchased Maroon 5's It Won't Be Soon Before Long for my 4 year old son, who won't stop singing "Makes Me Wonder". I, personally don't really like the tune, but anything for the kids. Lucky for me, the rest of the album is one of the best pop albums you are likely to hear this year. Out of the twelve songs, "Make Me Wonder" may be the least memorable.

The album has 2 types of songs...one, the slick Justin Timberlake meets 80s Prince soul like "Kiwi" and "Little of Your Time", but the other song type is where the CD really shines. There are no fewer than four perfectly produced Elton John like pop ballads that just knocked my socks off. Few bands can pull off this sound, but Adam Levine and Maroon 5 do it perfectly. Like their first album, these tunes just kind of get in your bloodstream.

Downloaders: "Won't go Home Without You" (highly recommended), "Better that we Break", "Wake Up Call"

Until Tomorrow...
