CD Review

Wilco-Sky_Blue_Sky (link to ITunes...buy it)

Jeff Tweedy and Wilco are back with their 6Th studio album Sky Blue Sky, and it doesn't disappoint. Throughout their career the band has attempted many different directions, such as the Beach Boys pop of Summerteeth, or the rootsy rock of the two disc set Being There. The new album is kind of a mixture of the two, let's call it rootsy pop. Most of the songs register under five minutes, and the topics stretch from bad break-ups masked as hangover remedies ("Shake it Off") to modes of transportation masked as love songs ("Walken"). If you like the band you will like this CD. After only a couple of listens, I think it is as good as their best work.

For You Down loaders: "Either Way", "Walken", "What Light"
